Compound Words in John Green’s The Fault in Our Stars Novel

Abstract

This study discusses the Compound Words in John Green’s novel The Fault In Our Stars novel. This study was conducted by using descriptive qualitative method approach. The data of this research are The Fault In Our Stars novel. The result shows that there are The result of this research indicates there are 3 types of compound words used in The Fault In Our Stars novel. There are endocentric compound words which have the modifier and the head words, exocentric compound words which semantic head is not explicitly expressed, and copulative compound words which the head dominates the entire word.
