PENGETAHUAN REMAJA DESA TENTANG BANTUAN HIDUP DASAR (BHD) DENGAN MOTIVASI MENOLONG KORBAN HENTI JANTUNG PADA REMAJA DESA BANUAJI IV KECAMATAN:ANDIANKOTING KABUPATEN TAPANULI UTARA TAHUN 2023

Abstract

Emergency actions that free the airway, assist breathing, and maintain blood circulation without assistive devices are known as basic life support. Knowledge of basic life support (BHD) is knowledge and skills because if you only know the theory without practice or training, the desire to help becomes less and mentally untrained when facing real situations. to determine the relationship between village adolescents' knowledge of basic life support (BHD) and their desire to help stroke victims in Banuaji IV Village, Adiankoting District, North Tapanuli Regency. This study used a related design with a cross-sectional method. The cluster sampling method consisted of 38 respondents. The research method was questionnaire. Data were tested with spearman rank test with significant level (α = 0.05). The results showed that the knowledge of village adolescents about BHD was mostly good, with a percentage of 63.8 percent, and the motivation to help victims of cardiac arrest was mostly high, with a p value = 0.000. If the value of α = 0.05, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. This study found that village adolescents in the Banuaji IV Village Community, Adiankoting Subdistrict, North Tapanuli Regency have knowledge about basic life support (BHD) and the desire to help victims of cardiac arrest.
